The LutZen Signature Massage has a unique style and technique that is unlike anything massage clients have experienced. Our technique has a foundation in connective tissue/myofascial framework. This style is taught and practiced by all of our massage therapists at Lutzen Massage Studios. The approach is not only wonderful for the client but is also more sustainable for the therapist; lending to a longer career without burnout or injury.

These foundational techniques and styles are embedded and practiced by all Massage Therapists on our staff. And while the foundational strokes are the same they all have individual nuances and special techniques that make them favorites amongst our clients.

Our massage therapists practice techniques that have been learned and cultivated through ongoing training. We continue to evolve with intuitive practices that are shared amongst all staff placing importance on continuing education.

 
 

What makes LutZen different?

We utilize energy, angle, pressure, and gravity using this unique approach that results in an effective, sustainable, and downright dreamy flow massage for our clients. We call this the “Myofascial Method” and it is exclusively available at LutZen!

We work on tables that are much lower than our competitors- Our massage tables are uber plush, heated, and extra wide, allowing clients to easily drift into the zen zone.

Our massage therapists are trained in the LutZen protocols, we even use blindfolds for training to teach the ability to tap in and hone their intuitive senses through feel, we work outside of a routine, instead, they are trained to work through intuition, “listening” through their hands and tuning into the energy centers of the body. It is through this training that they can tap into each client's individual body's requests fulfilling both the physical and emotional body's needs. They are therapist ninjas!

Warm towels are used for both the comforting effects, as well as therapeutically for warming up the tissues. We use long, slow, connected infinity strokes paired with the gravity of the therapist’s body. This allows for broad pressure that makes our massage technique feel heavenly “Zenful and dreamy” allowing our clients to truly tap into their inner Zen somewhere in between the conscious and the unconscious mind/ body awareness.

We do not use traditional oil-instead we use a crème, a teaspoon, or less for the entire body, leaving the body hydrated and eliminating the typical feeling of greasy hair and body after the massage.

Additional time

Our clients receive the FULL amount of time booked on the
table -hands-on to hands-off. This is a big one for us; as massage therapists, we receive a fair number of massages. At other establishments, the clock is ticking when you walk in the door: while you're filling out your paperwork, while you're talking with your MT about your needs. While you're dressing and undressing, This results in time away from hands-on time typically ranging from 10-20 minutes off of your paid massage.

While our full hot stone Gitchee Gumee massage is about as dreamy as it gets, therapists utilize 18-24 hot stones in a full-body experience.

Our therapists can't seem to keep their hands from using these useful, therapeutic, warm Lake Superior Stones; 2 to 4 hot stones are utilized in every Lutzen Signature massage.

Even the way we utilize hot stones is unique to LutZen. This is an incredible tool for moving into the deeper layers of tissue and areas where bodies hold stress, which is soothing and without pain.

So much more than just receiving a massage in the same room together, one of our most popular services, These lovely couples come back to celebrate and connect to each other, year after year.

Each couple is unique in their journey together. Some, celebrating a honeymoon and this is their 1st trip as husband and wife, others are into the next chapter with a babymoon, scheduling a special getaway and time to connect before the new bundle of energy enters their life.
